Carolyn Brown has been a major figure on the Dallas photography scene
for a number of years. We have had two shows of her beautiful work.
Three superb books have been publised of her Dallas photographs. They
are the best color fine-art books of the city, her residence for over
35 years.
Besides her books, Ms. Brown is particularly known
locally for her huge exhibit at Fair Park’s Hall of State during the
2000 State Fair: “Sacred Spaces: Man and the Divine in Mexico, Central
America and Southwestern United States.” She has also photographed
extensively in the Middle East. Her work is in many corporate
collections and museums, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and
the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. To see work from an earlier show,
